Step into the world of music, creativity, and self-expression at the Youth Week Hype Studio workshop, designed for young people aged 15–18.
This interactive session offers participants the opportunity to explore music production, recording, and creative expression in a supportive and engaging environment. Youth-focused library programs like this often provide access to creative technology, recording tools, and collaborative spaces, allowing participants to experiment with sound, rhythm, and storytelling through music.
Participants will:
- Create and record their own audio or music pieces, experimenting with beats, vocals, or spoken word
- Learn the basics of music production, including layering sounds and using digital tools
- Collaborate with peers, sharing ideas and building creative confidence
- Express identity and voice, using music as a medium for storytelling
The Hype Studio experience goes beyond technical skills — it provides a platform for young people to develop confidence, creativity, and a sense of belonging. As part of Youth Week, the event highlights the importance of youth voice, participation, and creative industries, encouraging participants to see themselves as creators, not just consumers.
By the end of the session, participants will have gained insight into music production processes, strengthened their collaboration and communication skills, and experienced the power of creative self-expression in a real-world setting.
