Get ready for an exciting, school holiday adventure as we explore nature in search of amazing bugs! Children will become junior explorers, using observation skills to discover pollinator insects, spiders, and other tiny creatures hiding in the grasslands at Copernicus Way Reserve in Keilor Downs.

Along the way, we'll learn fun facts about the important role pollinators and other bugs play in our environment, how to observe them safely and respectfully, and why every little creature matters. Magnifying glasses and bug-spotting guides will help young adventurers identify and record their discoveries before releasing them back into their natural habitats.

Please note: Children must be supervised by their parent or carer for the entire duration of this event. This is not a drop-off school holiday program.

Remember to wear comfortable clothes, closed-toe shoes, and a hat, and don't forget your water bottle and snacks.

Practice safe, respectful wildlife observation — how to look closely without harming or disturbing animals or their homes. Learn to gently release creatures back to their natural habitat after observing them. 🌱 Attitude & Awareness Build curiosity and confidence in exploring the outdoors. Develop care, respect, and responsibility towards nature and small living things. Enjoy learning about science and biology through hands-on, real-world experience.
